Rafael Fiziev Posts Update Video Following Knee Injury And Loss

After going down in the second round at UFC Vegas 79 due to an apparent knee injury, Rafael Fiziev has confirmed he tore his ACL at the recent event.
Fiziev took on fellow lightweight contender Mateuz Gamrot in Saturday’s, and while throwing a kick in round two, he dropped to the cage floor in pain. The video replay indicated that Fiziev had likely some sort of injury to his left knee and recently the renowned striker confirmed that in the social media post below.
The 30-year-old Fiziev (12-3) will likely be sidelined for 8 to 12 months on account of the injury.
Fiziev was coming off a decision loss to Justin Gaethje heading into Saturday’s contest. The Azerbaijani fighter had won six straight before dropping his last two fights.
