Although many Strikeforce vets were confirmed for upcoming UFC bouts before the former held its final event Saturday in Oklahoma City, as expected, several more fighters from the promotion are moving to the Octagon. Tuesday’s “UFC Tonight” program on FUEL TV announced that Strikeforce Middleweight Champion Luke Rockhold and recently crowned welterweight champ Tarec Saffiedine will join lightweight champ Gilbert Melendez in the organization.

Some of the other competitors on the list include light-heavyweights Gegard Mousasi and Gian Villante, middleweights Roger Gracie, Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza, Lorenz Larkin and Tim Kennedy, welterweight Nate Marquardt, and lightweights Adriano Martins, Ryan Couture, Pat Healy, KJ Noons and Josh Thomson.

Previous fighters that have been booked for bouts in recent weeks, or who had confirmed UFC deals, include Daniel Cormier, Bobby Voelker, Jason High, Roger Bowling, and Kurt Holobaugh.
