Alexander Gustafsson has yet to compete in 2021, but it’s being reported that will change in September.

Gustafsson hasn’t fought since he ended his brief retirement and returned to the Octagon for a fight with Fabricio Werdum last July. Gustafsson was submitted by the former heavyweight champ in the opening round.

Recently Front Kick reported that Gustafsson (18-7) is returning to light heavyweight and will fight Paul Craig on September 4. MMA Junkie is also reporting it has confirmed with a source Craig – Gustafsson is planned for that date.

Craig (15-4) is coming off a quick, TKO win over Jamahal Hill at UFC 263 last month.

The September 4, UFC card has yet to have an official location announced. But, it has been reported that London, England could host the event.
