Report: Alexander Gustafsson Withdrawing From UFC FN 100, Ryan Bader Stepping In
By FCF Staff
UFC Fight Night 100 has lost it’s original main event, as Alexander Gustafssson has reportedly withdrawn from the card’s headlining bout with Antonio Rogerio Nogueira.
Gustafsson was scheduled to face Nogueira at the November 19th event, which will take place in Sao Paulo, Brazil. According to a report from MMA Fighting.com, however, Gustafsson has dropped out of the card due to an undisclosed injury. As a result, Ryan Bader has agreed to step in and face Nogueira.
Bader (21-5) is coming off a vicious, KO win over Ilir Latifi last month, after he was knocked out by Anthony Johnson in January.
Nogueira (22-7), meanwhile, took out Patrick Cummins with strikes in May, after losing consecutive bouts to Johnson and “Shogun” Rua.
