The UFC has added a pivotal bantamweight bout to its upcoming schedule, as it’s being reported that Aljamain Sterling and Cory Sandhagen have signed contracts to fight.

The contenders have agreed to fight on June 6th at UFC 250, according to a report from MMA Junkie. The fight will not be for the bantamweight title, however, following champion Henry Cejudo’s announcement he’s retiring.

Sterling (18-3) is coming off a decision win over Pedro Munhoz in June, 2019, and has won four straight.

Sandhagen (12-1), meanwhile, has won seven in a row and recorded a decision win over Raphael Assuncano in his last bout, which took place in August, 2019.

Sterling is currently ranked #2 in the UFC’s bantamweight division and Sandhagen is #4.

No location or venue has been officially announced yet for UFC 250.
