According to multiple reports, amateur fighter Tyrone Mims passed away Saturday night after competing at a Conflict MMA Promotions card in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina.

The 30 year-old-fighter reportedly collapsed after the fight and died at a hospital shortly after, according to reports from The Post and Courier and ABC 4 in Charleston.

No details regarding the bout were included in the reports. An autopsy will be performed Monday. The event, which was titled “Fight Night at the Point 6”, was cancelled after the fight.

According to a follow up report by MMA Junkie.com, the event’s streaming partner, Georgia Boy’s Grits-n-Glory, released the following statement:

“The promoters and the South Carolina Fight Commission consulted with the fighters and all involved and decided as a result of the death of one of their own we should call off the rest of the fights. The promoters and the Athletic Commission did everything in their power according to protocol, and this accident was beyond their control. We apologize for the inconvenience and hope you’ll understand as we deal with the gravity of the situation. Our thoughts and prayers are with ‘Teesta’ and his immediate family, which include his five children.”
