According to multiple reports, Anderson Silva, Hector Lombard and Nick Diaz were all issued temporary suspensions today by the Nevada State Athletic Commission, as expected.

Silva’s suspension stems from the fact that he allegedly tested positive for several banned substances in drug tests tied to UFC 183, including the anabolic steroids Drostanolone and Androstane.

Silva’s opponent at UFC 183, Nick Diaz, tested positive for marijuana metabolites following his decision loss on January 31st.

Lombard, meanwhile, allegedly tested positive for the anabolic steroid desoxymethyltestosterone, following his win over Josh Burkman on January 3rd. Lombard was scheduled to fight Rory MacDonald at UFC 185 on April 25th, but has been pulled from the card.

The three fighters will appear in front of the NSAC in the coming weeks for a disciplinary hearing. The hearing is expected to take place in March.
