Less than five months after Anderson Silva’s horrific leg break at UFC 168, the legendary fighter has reportedly received clearance from his doctor to resume training.

Since the injury, which occurred in Silva’s second bout with reigning middleweight champ Chris Weidman on December 28th, the Brazilian fighter has continued to post updates of him doing doing some light training. It remains to be seen, however, when Silva will look to fight again.

News of Silva’s clearance was reported by MMA Junkie.com, and the report also quotes the fighter’s manager, Ed Soares, saying they plan to talk with the UFC about the middleweight’s return.

In March, the 39 year-old fighter relayed that he didn’t plan on fighting in 2014. Since the fighter’s recovery continues to go so well, however, perhaps that stance will change.
