Not only is Anderson Silva continuing to rehab the broken leg he incurred at UFC 168 in December, but the legendary fighter has revealed he’s taking steps to become a police officer.

The 38 year-old, who suffered the devastating injury on December 28th versus Chris Weidman, recently told the Brazilian show TV Folha that he’s studying at the Los Angeles Police Academy.

Silva noted that his brothers, nephews and uncle are police officers and that it’s a personal wish of his to pursue the career.

Although the former middleweight champ has announced he plans to fight again, and complete his lengthy UFC contract, Silva has also said he will not compete in 2014.

The Brazilian fighter and his family currently reside in Los Angeles.
