Report: Anderson Silva’s Camp Confident Fighter Will be Exonerated at NSAC Hearing
By FCF Staff
Although Anderson Silva allegedly tested positive for several banned substances earlier this, the fighter and his camp are reportedly confident he’ll be exonerated of the charges.
Since Silva tested positive for performance enhancing drugs this past January, the legendary fighter has repeatedly said he never intentionally used banned substances. The former middlewight champ, who decisioned Nick Diaz at UFC 183, will finally appear in front of the Nevada Commission on August 13th.
According to a report in the latest “UFC Tonight”, Silva’s team believes there are inaccuracies in the drug tests, and as a result, he will get off. The 40 year-old fighter is currently under temporary suspension, and if his appeal is denied, Silva will likely be suspended until next January.
