Report: Anderson Silva’s Knee Not Seriously Injured in UFC 237 Defeat
By FCF Staff
It looked like Anderson Silva might be sidelined for a while, following his stoppage defeat at UFC 237, but it looks like that might not be the case.
After Silva took a hard kick to his right leg during the opening round of his bout with Jared Cannonier, the star crumpled to the mat in pain. After the loss, the former middleweight champ also referred to an issue he had incurred with his knee, leading up to the card.
According to a new report from MMA Fighting, however, sources are reporting an MRI on Silva’s right knee did not show any ligament damage. It has also reportedly been determined the legend’s leg was not broken in the bout either.
The 44-year-old Silva has lost four of his last five fights, and has recorded one win in his last eight contests.
