Anderson Silva

By FCF Staff

Although Anderson Silva allegedly tested positive for steroids in his first, out-of-competition drug test leading up to UFC 183, according to multiple reports, the fighter’s second test was clean.

Following Silva’s decision win over Nick Diaz on January 31st, it was reported that the former middleweight champ had allegedly tested positive for drostanolone metabolites and androstane. Now, the Nevada State Athletic Commission has confirmed that Silva’s second round of tests were negative for human growth hormone and other performance enhancing drugs.

According to a report from MMA Junkie, Silva was tested for HGH via a blood test, and other PEDs via a urine test.

Silva, who is scheduled to appear in front of the commission on February 17th, has denied using PEDs.
