Report: Antonio Carlos Junior Among Latest UFC Cuts

Former TUF Brazil winner, Antonio Carlos Junior, has reportedly been released by the Ultimate Fighting Championship.

The 30-year-old Brazilian middleweight is coming off a decision loss to Brad Tavares at UFC 257 last month, which was his third straight defeat. Prior to the series of setbacks, Junior (10-5) had won five straight.

Recently MMA Fighting reported that Junior has been cut by the UFC. The report also says that Peter Barrett, Spike Carlyle, Carlton Minus, Anthony Ivy, Jacob Kilburn, Vinicius Moreira, Markus Perez, Cole Williams, Sarah Moras, and Rhys McKee have been released by the promotion.

Junior made his way into the UFC back in 2014 by winnign the third season of TUF Brazil. The season’s tournament was competed at heavyweight.
