Although Antonio “Minotauro” Nogueira is recovering from another surgery, and has lost three of his last four bouts, the legend says his fighting days aren’t over.

Noguiera, who was knocked out by Roy Nelson in April, recently underwent surgery to repair a torn ACL. According to a report from MMA Fighting.com, the 38 year-old incurred the injury shortly before his bout with Nelson.

When asked how many more times he plans on fighting, Nogueira reportedly relayed:

“I don’t know yet but I still have what it takes. I will return next year. I have plans to be in shape and fight again, for sure. I want to recover first, and then I will see how I feel.”

Prior to facing Nelson, Nogueira was submitted by Fabricio Werdum and was forced to undergo surgery to repair his injured arm.

In his last five fights, “Minotauro” has scored wins over Dave Herman and Brendan Schaub, and his other loss during that stretch came against Frank Mir.
