By FCF Staff

Bellator and GLORY are teaming up for what they up will be a landmark event on September 19th, and according to Scott Coker, the card is expected to draw quite well.

“Dynamite” will be hosted by the SAP Center in San Jose, and will feature Bellator light-heavyweight champ Liam McGeary taking on Tito Ortiz in the headliner. In addition, the card will feature a light-heavyweight tourney with high profile vets like “King Mo” Lawal, Phil Davis, Emanuel Newton and Linton Vassell.

GLORY will be offering two title fights, as featherweight champ Gabriel Vargas will take on Serhiy Adamchuck, and Saulo Cavalari will battle Zack Mwekassa for the vacant light-heavyweight title. In the other kickboxing bout, Paul Daley will fight Fernando Gonzalez.

Recently Coker relayed to MMA Junkie.com that “Dynamite” has sold 5,500 tickets, and Bellator’s President believes the event will draw between 12,000 and 13,000 fans.

When Coker was the driving force behind Strikeforce, several of the promotion’s biggest events took place in San Jose.

The main card of the event will be broadcast on Spike.
