Report: Brian Stann Injured, No Longer Fighting Hector Lombard at UFC on FOX 4
By FCF Staff
According to multiple reports, the upcoming, August 4th UFC on FOX card has been dealt a serious blow, as main event competitor Brian Stann has reportedly been forced to withdraw due to injury. The veteran was scheduled to fight former Bellator middleweight champ Hector Lombard, in what will be the latter’s UFC debut.
Although the UFC has not confirmed Stann’s withdrawal, according to a report from MMA Fighting, an injured shoulder is responsible for the change.
No details regarding who Lombard might face now were included.
Stann (12-4) is coming off a dominant, first round stoppage win over Alessio Sakara in April, after being submitted by Chael Sonnen at UFC 136 in October.
Lombard (31-2) recently signed with the UFC having gone undefeated in 25 straight fights.
The UFC on FOX 4 card will be hosted by the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California.
