Following an appearance on the latest WWE Smackdown event, it’s being reported Cain Velaquez is going to put his MMA career on hold to focus on pro-wrestling.

Recently Velasquez performed at two Lucha Libre AAA pro-wrestling events, prior to his appearance for WWE on Friday. MMA Junkie is reporting that a source with knowledge of the situation has confirmed Velasquez plans to leave the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) testing pool. Doing so would make him ineligible to compete in the UFC.

The 37-year-old, former UFC heavyweight champ has also told ESPN that he plans to make pro-wrestling his focus.

Velasquez (14-3) hasn’t fought since February, when he was quickly finished by Francis Ngannou at UFC on ESPN 1.
