By FCF Staff

Carlos Condit appeared to be in considerable pain when his UFC 171 bout with Tyron Woodley was called last weekend, and as suspected, a serious knee injury led to the stoppage.

Condit, who crumpled to the mat in round two after attempting to counter a leg kick, reportedly tore his ACL in the fight. In addition, Condit also has partially torn meniscus.

The top ranked welterweight’s coach Greg Jackson reported the news to “UFC Tonight”.

No timeline for Condit’s recovery was given, however, the 29 year-old will likely be sidelined for multiple months.
