Report: Chad Mendes Suspended For Two Years Following Positive Test For PEDs
By FCF Staff
After failing an out of-competition drug test that was administered to him in May, Chad Mendes has reportedly been suspended for two years.
The 31 year-old, featherweight contender tested positive for GHRP-6, which is known as growth-hormone releasing hexapeptide, according to a recent report from MMA Fighting.com.
Following news of his USADA violation, the powerful wrestler tweeted “I didn’t do my homework and that was a big mistake. I own it and I’m going to pay for it.”
Mendes, who was stopped by Frankie Edgar in December, won’t be eligible to return until June, 2018.
