December has received another all-star, featherweight fight, as according to reports, Frankie Edgar will battle Chad Mendes on December 11th. That’s the night before champion Jose Aldo will take on interim champ Conor McGregor at UFC 194.

Edgar-Mendes will reportedly headline the TUF 22 Finale, which will take place at a venue to be determined in Las Vegas. The bout was reported first by the Brazilian outlet Lancenet , and multiple sites are also reporting the match-up. According to the reports verbal agreements are in place for the fight.

Mendes (17-3) is coming off a memorable, stoppage loss to McGregor in July, after he stopped Ricardo Lamas in April.

Edgar (19-4-1) worked his way to a decision win over Urijah Faber in April, and has won four straight bouts. The former lightweight champ is ranked #2 in the UFC’s 145 division, and Mendes is #3.

The TUF 22 Finale will also feature a lightweight fight between Khabib Nurmagomedov and fellow contender, Tony Ferguson.
