Report: Conor McGregor – Dustin Poirier 2 Official
By FCF Staff
The UFC has been working on signing a rematch between Conor McGregor and Dustin Poirier and it looks like the much-discussed bout is finally official.
Several weeks ago, McGregor challenged Poirier to a charity match in Ireland and the latter verbally agreed. The UFC proceeded to offer the lightweight contenders a bout and January 23rd was targeted as the date.
McGregor pushed for the fight to take place this year, but eventually, he reported online that he would fight Poirier on January 23rd. On Thursday, McGregor’s media company, The MacLife, reported that the star has officially signed to fight Poirier at UFC 257. Poirier has reportedly already signed on for the fight.

The location and venue for UFC 257 has yet to be announced, but UFC President Dana White has said that it will likely take place in Abu Dhabi.
Poirier and McGregor fought for the first time in 2014 when they were competing at featherweight. McGregor won the fight via first-round stoppage.
