Report: Cris “Cyborg” Granted Boxing License by California Commission

Cris "Cyborg" Justino

By FCF Staff

Less than two weeks removed from Conor McGregor’s boxing match with Floyd Mayweather, it’s being reported that another UFC champion has applied and received their boxing license.

The UFC’s women’s featherweight champion, Cris “Cyborg” Justino, has reportedly been granted a boxing license by the California State Athletic Commission. The news was reported by MMA Fighting, and according to the same report, Justino plans to compete in the 154-pound, junior middleweight division.

Justino won the 145 belt in July by stopping Tony Evinger, but the Brazilian fighter’s current UFC deal is up in October. The promotion reportedly has a one year, negotiating window.
