The original plan was for Cris “Cyborg” Justino to drop to 135 for her next bout, but it looks like Invicta FC’s featherweight champ will be fighting at 140 instead.
The renowned fighter and former Strikeforce champ was expected to cut down to bantamweight, as a step towards an all-star showdown with UFC bantamweight champ, Ronda Rousey. ”
According to a report from MMA Junkie.com, however, Invicta FC President Shannon Knapp, announced after the promotion’s event on Saturday that Justino will fight at 140 in November. Justino’s opponent has yet to be determined.
“Cyborg” is coming off a quick, stoppage win over Faith Van Duinn in July, and has won four in a row.
