The UFC is working on booking its schedule for late 2023, as it’s being reported the promotion’s planning a fight between Curtis Blaydes and Jailton Almeida.

The fight is being targeted for a November 4th card in Sao Paulo, Brazil, and would reportedly serve as the main event.

Two sources have informed MMA Junkie that the fight has been verbally agreed to, but, contracts have to be signed.

Blaydes (17-4) is coming off a first-round, stoppage loss to Sergei Pavlovich in April, which snapped his three-fight, winning streak.

Almeida (19-2) submitted Jairzinho Rozenstruik in the opening round earlier this month. Almeida has won 14 in a row.

Currently, Blaydes is ranked #4 in the UFC’s heavyweight rankings and Almeida is ranked #9.
