Report: Curtis Blaydes vs. Francis Ngannou II Close to Being Finalized
By FCF Staff
Curtis Blaydes has called for a rematch with Francis Ngannou in recent weeks, and it’s being reported the latter has accepted the challenge.
Blaydes fought Ngannou in 2016, and incurred his only defeat to date, when he was not allowed to continue in the bout due to an eye injury. Recently it was reported by ESPN’s Ariel Helwani that verbal agreements are in place for Blaydes and Ngannou to fight on November 24th, at the UFC’s card in Beijing, China.
Blaydes (10-1, 1 NC) is coming off an electrifying, stoppage win over Alistair Overeem in June. Ngannou (11-3) lost via decision to Derrick Lewis in July, and the heavy handed fighter was widely criticized for his conservative performance.
