Jason Young to Battle Robert Peralta

As many expected would be the case, Nottingham’s own, Dan Hardy, will reportedly compete at the Ultimate Fighting Championship’s upcoming September 29th event in the British city. According to multiple reports, the welterweight will take on another noted striker in former TUF winner, Amir Sadollah.

Hardy (24-10) will be looking to build upon the first round, knockout victory he scored over Duane Ludwig in May, which ended the former number one contender’s four fight losing streak.

Sadollah (6-3) is coming off a split decision win over Jorge Lopez last month, after dropping a unanimous decision loss to Ludwig at a UFC Live card last August.

The UFC Nottingham card will feature yet another British fighter, as London featherweight Jason Young will reportedly take on Robert Peralta.

Young (9-5) scored a UD win over Eric Wisely at a UFC Fuel card in April, after dropping back-to-back bouts to Dustin Poirier and Michihiro Omigawa.

Peralta (15-3) hasn’t competed since he fought Mackens Semerzier in November, which was eventually declared a No Contest, due to an accidental headbutt that the latter incurred during the fight.

Prior to the bout, at a UFC Fight Night card in September, Peralta earned a unanimous decision victory over Mike Lullo.

The upcoming UFC Nottingham card will be hosted by the city’s Capital FM Arena and will feature a heavyweight bout between Stefan Struve and Stipe Miocic in the main event.
