It looks like Dan Hooker’s 2023 campaign has come to a premature close, as it’s being reported the lightweight is no longer fighting at UFC Austin.

Hooker was booked to fight fellow contender Bobby Green at the December 2nd card. But, recently The New Zealand Herald reported Hooker has been forced to withdraw due to an arm injury.

MMA Fighting has also confirmed with sources that Hooker has withdrawn from the upcoming event.

The 33-year-old Hooker (23-12) fought just once this year, as in July, he recorded a split decision win over Jailin Turner. The New Zealand fighter is 3-2 in his last 5 fights.

It remains to be seen if the UFC is able to find a replacement opponent for Green at this juncture.
