Floyd Mayweather

Floyd Mayweather caused a stir recently by mentioning that he could fight in the UFC if he chose to, and now Dana White has confirmed the promotion’s in talks with the undefeated boxer.

Leading up to Mayweather’s August 26th win over Conor McGregor, the star alluded to possibly fighting in the Octagon, but the comments were widely dismissed. But, recently White told ESPN the following:

“We’re talking to Floyd about doing a UFC deal,” White said. “It’s real. He was talking about [boxing] Conor McGregor. Was that real? Have you heard Floyd talk about many things that aren’t real? He usually tips his hand when he’s in the media, and then that s— ends up happening.

“We’re interested in doing something with Floyd. Everything is a realistic possibility. Mayweather vs. McGregor f—ing happened. Anything is possible.”

The 40 year-old Mayweather boxed McGregor on August 26th, and stopped the UFC’s lightweight champ in round ten.
