In the wake of crashing his car and being arrested for suspicion of DUI this past Saturday, UFC Light-Heavyweight Champion Jon Jones reportedly flew to Las Vegas last night to meet with the promotion’s president Dana White and CEO Lorenzo Fertitta.

The meeting, which was requested by White, was reported by the Boston Herald. In the report White was quoted saying:

“You’re 24 years old, you could be a force in this sport for the next 10 years and go down as the greatest ever – beat everybody, do all this stuff, be the first guy to break through and get a Nike deal, the first guy to get Gatorade and all these other things. Do you want to be that guy or do you want to go the other way?”

White also added in the story that he’s “super disappointed and bummed out” about the incident.

Jones reportedly crashed his car into a pole Saturday morning in Binghamton, New York, but was not injured in the accident.

According to a report from WBNG.com, the fighter’s arraignment for his DWI charge has been set for May 29th.  The story also relayed that according to the Binghamton authorities, there were two people with Jones at the time of the accident, however, their names have not been released.

The rising superstar is coming off a unanimous decision win over Rashad Evans in April, who was the fourth former champion in a row that Jones (16-1) has defeated.

The 24 year-old-fighter is expected to fight former Strikeforce and Pride champion Dan Henderson in September.
