Since Ronda Rousey was knocked out by Holly Holm last month we haven’t heard much from the former bantamweight champ. But, Dana White is reporting that “Rowdy” says she was “exhausted” leading up to the bout.

Rousey took on Holm at UFC 193, and was battered by the latter with punches and then finished in round two with a head kick. Recently White appeared on TSN’s “Off The Record” program, and while discussing Rousey, he reportedly said this (quote via MMA Fighting.com):

“I’ve talked to her almost everyday after the fight and when she sat down with me and Lorenzo a few days ago, she said, ‘I was exhausted going into that fight. I was exhausted mentally, physically, emotional,'” White said. “She had a lot of personal things going on, too, with her family.”

Before UFC 193, Rousey’s mother was open critical of the fighter’s striking coach, Edmond Tarverdyan. Her mother, AnnMaria De Mars, did not attend the Melbourne card.

White also acknowledged that Rousey’s well publicized outburst towards Holm at the weigh-ins was “uncharacteristic” for the star.
