Report: Dana White Says Wanderlei Silva “in Trouble” After Licensing Issues

Dana White

By FCF Staff

Although Wanderlei Silva says “confusion”, and a trip to Brazil are responsible for his licensing issues in Nevada, Dana White says the legendary fighter is in “trouble” for what led to his UFC 175 removal.

Silva has been puled from UFC 175, after failing to apply for a license and take a random drug test. The fighter has posted a video claiming he didn’t have a lawyer present to examine papers that were given him, and that after he returns from the TUF Brazil III Finale, he’ll reach out to the Nevada Commission.

While attending a pre-fight event in Berlin, Friday, White had this to say about Silva’s response (quote via MMA Junkie.com):

“He can shoot all the videos he wants,” the UFC President noted. “He’s in trouble.”

White also relayed that the recent incident “did not put him (Silva) in a good place with the commission.”

The UFC is moving forward with a bout between Chael Sonnen and Vitor Belfort for UFC 175, provided the latter can get a license to compete in Nevada.
