Now that the UFC has booked a rematch between Jon Jones and Alexander Gustafsson, Daniel Cormier has some time to decide whether he wants to undergo knee surgery.

Recently the light-heavyweight contender had a MRI done on his knee, and according to a report from “UFC Tonight”, it indicated Cormier has a significant tear in his LCL. In addition, the decorated wrestler is reportedly missing 50% of his anterior-cruciate-ligament.

Cormier (15-0), who is coming off an impressive, choke-out victory over Dan Henderson, hasn’t decided yet whether he’ll undergo surgery.

Jones and Gustafsson will fight for a second time on September 27th, and Cormier is expected to face the winner.
