Report: Daniel Cormier vs. Dan Henderson in Works for UFC 175?

Daniel Cormier

By FCF Staff

After it was recently reported that Daniel Cormier could fight Rafael “Feijao” Cavalcante on July 5th, word has come forth that the UFC is hoping to have the former heavyweight fight Dan Henderson at UFC 175.

The card is set to take place at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, and will feature middleweight champ Chris Weidman taking on Lyoto Machida.

News of the Cormier-Henderson bout was reported by MMA Fighting.com’s Ariel Helwani, who cited “sources with knowledge of the situation”.

In response to the aforementioned report, UFC President Dana White tweeted Monday: “Ariel is not correct. That fight is not done”.

Cormier (14-0) is coming off a first round stoppage win over  light-heavyweight Patrick Cummins at UFC 170 last month, while Dan Henderson TKO’d “Shogun” Rua in his last outing on March 23rd.
