Report: Dennis Hallman Cut By UFC After Failing to Make Weight
After failing to make weight for his scheduled UFC on FX 5 bout with Thiago Tavares tonight in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Dennis Hallman has reportedly been let go by the promotion.
The bout was cancelled–without having Hallman (51-14) officially weigh in–when it came apparent that Hallman was not going to be able to make the 156 pound limit.
According to a report from MMA Fighting, Hallman relayed to UFC President Dana White that he has having “some personal issues at home”. As a result, he did not feel that he was prepared to fight and requested to be removed from the card.
Hallman could not be immediately reached by Full Contact Fighter for a confirmation.
The decade plus veteran is coming off a first round, submission win over John Makdessi last at UFC 140 last December, in a bout that Hallman also failed to make weight for.
