It appears as though Dennis Siver’s decision win over Manny Gamburyan at UFC 168 is in jeopardy, as according to multiple reports, the featherweight tested positive for a banned substance following the December 28th event.

The Nevada Athletic State Commission has disclosed that Siver allegedly tested positive for human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG), which is commonly used as a fertility drug for women, but can also improve testosterone production for males. According to reports from MMA Junkie.com and MMA Fighting.com, the amount of hCG in Siver’s system has not been revealed.

The NSAC is expected to announce disciplinary action for the fighter soon, and Siver will have the right to appeal.

The 35 year-old Siver has gone 3-2 in his last 5 contests, and was coming off a stoppage loss to Cub Swanson prior to facing Gamburyan.
