By FCF Staff

Diego Brandao has reportedly been released from the UFC, following the fighter’s arrest on several felony count charges.

Earlier this month, the former TUF 14 winner was arrested and charged on three felony charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, and one count for aggravated battery with a deadly weapon. The charges were the result of Brandao’s alleged involvement in an incident outside of a Albuquerque strip-club,

According to a report from Sherdog.com, and a follow up report from MMA Fighting.com, the UFC has since released Brandao.

The 28 year-old fighter is coming off a submission loss to Brian Ortega in January. Brandao is also currently under temporary suspension with the Nevada Commission, for allegedly testing positive for marijuana metabolities in UFC 195 testing.
