It looks like Dominick Cruz will return to the cage not long into 2021, as its being reported the former bantamweight champ is expected to fight Casey Kenney at UFC 259.

The 35-year-old Cruz (22-3) hasn’t fought since this past May, when he lost via TKO to the now retired, Henry Cejudo. Cruz is 2-3 in his last 5 bouts.

MMA Junkie is reporting that sources have informed the outlet that Cruz and Kenney are expected to fight at the March 6th card. The venue and location for the event has yet to be determined.

The bout would mark the first time since 2014 that Cruz isn’t competing in a title fight.

The 29-year-old Kenney (16-2-1) is coming off a decision win over Nathaniel Wood in October, and has won three straight.
