It looks as though 2017 will come and go without Dominick Cruz fighting.

The former bantamweight champ was booked to fight Jimmie River at UFC 219 on December 30th. But, according to a report from MMA Fighting, sources say Cruz has broken his arm, and can no longer compete.

The UFC has yet to make any official announcement regarding the injury.

Cruz (22-2) hasn’t fought since last December, when he lost the 135 title to Cody Garbrandt via unanimous decision.
