It looks like the month of October will be a busy one for UFC welterweight Dong Hyun Kim, as according to reports the South Korean fighter will fight Erick Silva on October 9th, and then compete in the 2013 ADCC later that month.
Recently reports surfaced relaying that Kim would likely face Silva at a UFC Fight Night event in Brazil this October, and now Combate.com is reporting that the fight will be part of an October 9th event in Barueri, Brazil. UFC Fight Night 29 will mark the sixth time the UFC has held a card in Brazil this year.
Adcombat.com reported Monday that Kim will competed in the upcoming ADCC grappling competition, which will take place October 19th and 20th in Beijing, China. Kim will compete in the under 169 pound (77KG) division.
Kim (17-2-1), who is a 4th degree black belt in Judo, is coming off back-to-back decision wins over Siyar Bahadurzada and Paulo Thiago. The 31 year-old fighter is 3-2 in his last five bouts.
Silva (15-3) scored a quick, submission win over Jason High at a UFC on FUEL TV card in June, after losing by decision to Jon Fitch last December.
