Dustin Poirier had quite the rivalry going with Conor McGregor before they fought last year, but the lightweight has relayed he’s picking “Notorious” to defeat Jose Aldo.

Poirier and McGregor met last September, and the latter went on to win the bout via first round stoppage. Since then, Poirier has moved up from 145 to 155, and has recorded wins over Carlos Diego Ferreira and Yancy Medeiros.

“The Diamond” is scheduled to fight Joseph Duffy on October 24th, and while speaking to Sky Sports recently, Poirier was asked to weigh-in on Aldo-McGregor.

“It’s a really competitive fight and hard to call but I think Conor will win using footwork and striking.”

McGregor and Aldo are scheduled to fight at UFC 194 on December 12th. The featherweight champ hasn’t fought since last October, when Aldo decisioned Chad Mendes.

McGregor, meanwhile, stopped Mendes this past July to become interim champ.
