Circumstances continue to plague Bellator’s heavyweight division, as today recent tourney winner Eric Prindle announced that his bout with champion Cole Konrad has been pushed to May 25th.

The two were scheduled to fight this Friday in Atlantic City, but a reported hand injury Prindle incurred has delayed the bout. Bellator has not made an official announcement about the postponement; however, a press release from the promotion regarding this week’s Bellator 65 card did not include any info about Prindle fighting Konrad.

Konrad (8-0) has not fought now since last August, when he worked his way to a unanimous decision win over Paul Buentello.

In November, Prindle’s bout with Thiago Santos to determine the promotion’s number one contender was declared a no contest, after Prindle could not continue due to a low blow. Subsequent attempts to promote a fight between the two were cancelled due to Prindle being ill and then most recently, Santos failing to make weight.

Prindle (7-1) advanced to the tourney finale by scoring wins over Abe Wagner and Ron Sparks.

The venue and location for Bellator’s May 25th card has not been announced.
