By FCF Staff

The upcoming, September 29th, UFC Nottingham event has a new addition, as Brazilian light-heavyweight Fabio Maldonado will reportedly fight Sweden’s Jorgen Kruth.

According to multiple reports the bout is official for the Nottingham bound event, which will be hosted by the city’s Capital FM Arena.

Maldonado (18-5) is coming off back-to-back unanimous decision losses to Kyle Kingsbury and most recently Igor Pokrajac, after scoring a stoppage win over James McSweeney in October, 2010.

The UFC newcomer Kruth is an accomplished kickboxer who has gone 5-0 since he transitioned into MMA in 2009.

Most recently, the Swedish fighter stopped Yusuke Kawaguchi at a Rumble of the Kings event in November.

UFC Nottingham will be headlined by a heavyweight bout between Stefan Struve and Stipe Miocic.

Other main card bouts that have been confirmed for the event include Yves Jabouin vs. Brad Pickett, Dan Hardy vs. Amir Sadollah and Duane “Bang” Ludwig vs. Che Mills.
