Report: Fighters Received Less Than 16% of UFC’s Revenue in 2019

By FCF Staff

UFC President Dana White recently reported that 2019 was the best year yet for MMA’s biggest promotion. But, according to a new report, UFC fighters received less than 16% of the company’s revenue.

Recently the New York Post reported that according to sources, the UFC is going to pay its investors $300 million in dividends.

The story also states the following:

Sources tell The Post UFC’s fighters cost the Las Vegas promotions company less than $150 million last year — or under 16 percent of its $900 million in revenue. By contrast, Major League Baseball, the National Basketball Association and the National Football League all share between 48 percent and 50 percent of revenues with their players, data shows.

The report also includes the following quote from Mark Shapiro, who is the President of Endeavour, the UFC’s parent company:

“It’s different league by league. We pay our fighters significantly more than any other MMA organization. They deserve it. Fighter compensation has gone up commensurately with the success of UFC.”

The UFC’s next event is scheduled for February 23rd in Auckland, New Jersey.
