It looks like Frankie Edgar will compete one more time before the year is up, as it’s being reported a bout between the legend and Marlon Vera is planned.

Edgar (24-9-1) hasn’t fought since February, when he was brutally KO’d by Cory Sandhagen. Prior to that, the former lightweight champ worked his way to a split decision win over Pedro Munhoz in August 2020.

Recently ESPN’s Brett Okamoto reported that a fight between Edgar and Vera has been agreed on for November 6th, at UFC 268 in New York City. The event will be hosted by Madison Square Garden.

Vera (17-7-1), meanwhile, is coming off a decision win over Davey Grant in June, after dropping a decision to Jose Aldo in December.

Currently, Edgar is ranked #8 in the UFC’s bantamweight rankings and Vera is #13.
