It looks as though George Sullivan has a new opponent, less than a week out from his scheduled appearance at the TUF 21 Finale, as his camp is reporting the welterweight will take on Dominic Waters.

Sullivan was scheduled to fight Marcio Alexandre Jr. at the July 12th card. Recently Sullivan’s gym, Pellegrino Mixed Martial Arts, however, reported on Facebook that Alexandre Jr. has withdraw due to injury at that Waters is stepping in. The UFC has not made any official announcement yet regarding the change.

Waters (9-2) makes his way to the UFC having won three straight fights. The fighter’s only losses to date are against Bellator vets Curtis Millender and Ron Keslar.

Sullivan (16-4) has gone 2-1 in the UFC so far, and most recently, the New Jersey fighter was tapped out by Tim Means in April.

The TUF 21 Finale will take place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. In the main event, Jake Ellenberger will take on welterweight Stephen Thompson.
