Since Georges St. Pierre’s split decision win over Johny Hendricks last month there’s been plenty of speculation as to what the future holds for the welterweight champ, and according to a new report, the star will speak with media Friday to discuss his plans.

Le Journal de Montreal is reporting that St. Pierre’s press conference will take place in his native Quebec, December 13th, where he will discuss his future.

In a follow up report from the Canadian Press, however, the fighter’s manager said St. Pierre isn’t making an announcement necessarily, but that he’ll answer the media’s questions. The report also notes that St. Pierre has said, via text, that he will be discussing his plans.

St. Pierre was already scheduled to appear that day at an event in Quebec City.

After his controversial win over Hendricks at UFC 167, November 16th, St. Pierre revealed he has been dealing with personal issues and that he planned to take a break from fighting. UFC President Dana White has said, however, that he expects a rematch with Hendricks to be booked relatively soon.

The win over Hendricks was GSP’s 12th in a row, and the third he’s recorded since returning from knee surgery last year.
