Report: Heath Sims Leaving Team Quest to Coach Evolve MMA

One of Team Quest’s key players and established coaches in Heath Sims is reportedly leaving the renowned team to take a position with Singapore’s Evolve MMA Team. According to a press release from Evolve, the former Olympic competitor will oversee the team’s wrestling instruction.

“While I am sad to leave Team Quest, I’m thrilled at the opportunity to work at the top MMA organization in Asia,” Sims was quoted saying. “Evolve MMA represents the very best in the world in every major discipline for MMA.  I couldn’t be more excited to be a part of this incredible team.”

Sims is the latest addition to the upstart Evolve MMA Team which includes noted competitors like DREAM Lightweight Champion Shinya Aoki, UFC vet Rafael dos Anjos, Total Combat FC Champion Eddie Ng, WBA Boxing World Champion Yodsanan Sityodtong and BJJ world champ Zorobabel Moreira.

“Heath is an incredibly talented coach in wrestling and MMA,” Chatri Sityodtong, CEO of Evolve MMA was quoted saying. “He is truly one in seven billion with a wealth of experience at the highest levels in the world and he will fit in perfectly with our family of World Champions at Evolve MMA.  We are all excited for his arrival.”

The team has also announced that former NCAA 1 wrestling champion and teammate of UFC Lightweight Champion Frankie Edgar, Jake Butler, has joined Evolve’s roster of fighters. The decorated wrestler is currently singed to Asia’s One FC organization.
