After scoring an impressive and pivotal win over David Branch last month, Jack Hermansson has reportedly agreed to fight “Jacare” Souza at UFC on ESPN 3.

Souza was initially booked to fight fellow middleweight contender Yoel Romero at the April 27th event, but the latter has withdrawn due to illness. ESPN’s Brett Okamoto is reporting that Hermansson has verbally agreed to face Souza at the Sunrise, Florida card.

Hermansson (19-4) tapped Branch out at the 49-second mark with a guillotine choke. The 30-year-old middleweight has gone 4-1 in his last 5 contests.

Souza (26-6) is coming off a KO win over Chris Weidman last November and is 3-2 in his last 5 bouts. Okamoto has been told that Souza’s been promised a title shot if he wins.
