The UFC continues to work on building out its spring schedule, as it’s being reported a fight between featherweight contenders Jeremy Stephens and Calvin Kattar is nearly set.

The fighters have verbally agreed to face-off at UFC 248, which will take place on March 7th in Las Vegas, Nevada. The planned match-up is being reported by MMA Junkie.

The 33-year-old Stephens (28-17) is looking to get back on track, as the longtime contender is coming off a decision loss to Yair Rodriguez and is winless in four straight bouts.

Kattar (20-4), meanwhile, lost via decision to Zabit Magomedsharipov in his last outing. Prior to that the 31-year-old had won back-to-back bouts against Chris Fishgold and Ricardo Lamas.

UFC 248 will be headlined by a strawweight bout between champion Zhang Weili and former champ, Joanna Jedrzejczyk.
