Jon Jones will not appear in front of the California State Athletic Commission on December 12th as originally scheduled, as it’s being reported the former light-heavyweight champ has been granted a continuance.

The continuance, which is being reported by MMA Fighting, is in regards to the potential doping violation that is tied to Jones’ stoppage win over Daniel Cormier at UFC 214 in July. Following the win, the decorated fighter was informed by USADA that he had tested positive for the anabolic steroid Turinabol. The victory has since been overturned to a no-contest, and the 205 title was given back to Cormier.

According to the aforementioned report, Jones’ hearing has been moved to February, 2018, although an exact date has yet to be finalized.

Jones has denied that he ever knowingly took performance enhancing drugs. Since Jones was suspended by USADA in 2015, the fighter could be suspended for up to four years.
